Grants!

The states are now getting new ways of figuring out grants for the hospitals. The Bloomberg Business posted an article today about hospitals getting new grants and how they have to go about getting them. "Awards of as much as $11.5 million are available to hospitals that demonstrate “meaningful use” of the equipment, under preliminary rules issued yesterday by the Obama administration," The Bloomberg Businessweek.

Maybe Canadians could get higher grants. Americans don't have the best health-care to begin with, so this is a big step for them. Something to think about.

Free Health Care?

Imagine a world where you get the same health care benefits but don't have a pay a dime. That's right, free. An article in New Straits Times talks about how the new 1Care system in Malaysia (which has yet to implemented) might leave people not paying anything. It was also ensured that all of the community would have access to higher medical care as well as private health care. Seeing as how nothing has been official yet, should the people get their hopes up? Read the article for yourself and let me know what you think.
